Ingredients:
• 4 large eggs (at room temperature)
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract



Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a round cake pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together for 5–7 minutes until pale, thick, and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla extract and gently mix.
4. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture using a spatula.
6. Slowly add the melted butter (or oil) and fold gently until fully combined.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and tap gently to remove air bubbles.
8. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
9. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
